Deputies Investigating Reported Sterling Robbery
May 5 afternoon incident occurred after the victim gave the unknown suspect a ride.
An alleged robbery near East Holly Avenue and Circle Drive in Sterling is under investigation by the Loudoun Sheriff’s Office after a victim reported having a GPS taken.
After giving a ride to an unknown male around 3:40 p.m. May 5, the victim reported that the suspect displayed a sharp instrument and grabbed the GPS before fleeing from the car. The suspect is described as a black male who wore a maroon or red jacket, a black shirt and blue jeans.
