After the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday released surveillance video of the crime and images of the two suspects involved, investigators received help identifying them. Soon after, additional mug shots were released to the media and the two suspects turned themselves in on Thursday.

The robbery occurred around 5:50 p.m. when a pickup truck bumped into the shopping cart of a 33-year-old woman who was loading items into her vehicle. The driver of the small truck reached out and grabbed the victim’s purse before feeling the scene.

As of Friday morning, Ahearn and Jennings remained in custody at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
