Falls Church Man Charged in May Target Theft

Store employees reported several MP3 players were taken in the incident.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported today, June 16, that a Falls Church man has been charged in May 22 robbery of the Target story in Potomac Run Plaza.

Authorities have charged Christopher M. Deatherage, 24.

On the day of the incident, a suspect now believed to be Deatherage approached a display case in the electronics section of the story and asked to see an MP3 player, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Office. After an employee unlocked the case, the suspect grabbed several MP3 players. He then brandished what employees described to deputies as a knife, threatened an employee and fled with several of the electronic music players.
