Fatal Crash on Old Ryan Road

One person is dead after a crash on Old Ryan Road overnight, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to the area of Old Ryan Road just west of Croson Lane in Ashburn.
Sometime overnight, a single vehicle had struck a utility pole, causing the pole to break in half, according to a LCSO release.
Law enforcement had not identified the driver and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The roadway remained closed late in the morning as utility crews were responding to the scene.
