Girl Struck by Car in South Riding
Loudoun County Police are investigating an incident in which a 7-year-old female riding a Razor scooter on Riding Center Drive when she was struck on the concrete portion of the roadway, according to a Loudoun County Sheriff's Office report.
The incident was reported at 11:59 a.m. on Sunday, June 8.
The driver, a 61-year-old Manassas man, was driving east when the girl entered his path from the passenger's side. Upon impact, the driver veered left and struck a center median divider.
The girl was transported by ground to Fairfax Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The girl was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
