Help Sought in Identifying Ashburn Sexual Assault Suspect

The Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of the man wanted in incident near Finnegan's.

A white male in his early 30s is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman in the Ashburn Village Shopping Plaza on March 18, and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office seeks help in identifying the suspect.

At around 2 a.m. Friday, a woman walking across the parking lot in front of Finnegan’s Irish Pub asked a man driving a black late ‘90s Jeep if she could use his phone to find a ride home, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Office. The victim voluntarily entered the Jeep.

When the suspect drove off, he repeatedly refused requested by the victim to stop and let her go, according to the report. He then sexually assaulted her before releasing her.

The suspect has blonde hair, is about 5’10” tall with a medium build, and was described as being fit. The man has a “flat” nose, bent to the right, and a large mole or freckly on his neck, according to the report. His teeth may have gaps between them. He wore a gray hoodie-style sweatshirt with several knots in the string.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Investigator K. Leigh at the Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475.
