Herndon Woman Charged after Ashburn Hit and Run
The driver was reported to have initially left the scene after striking a pedestrian, but returned.
A Herndon woman was charged with felony hit and run after striking a female pedestrian in Ashburn, 12, and initially leaving the scene June 20.
The girl and a friend attempted to cross the street near Ashburn Farm Parkway and Junction Plaza at 5:39 p.m. with the suspect vehicle stopped at a stop sign, according to a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office report. The vehicle moved forward and struck one girl, who was knocked into her friend. Both girls fell to the ground during the incident, according to the report.
Both girls were taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The driver, Erin F. Dean, 25, of Herndon returned to the scene where officers charged her with felony hit and run and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. She was released on a $2,500 secured bond.
