Last Suspect in Botched Home Invasion Apprehended

The final suspect sought in a botched Feb. 10 home invasion during which two perpetrators were shot has been taken into custody, according the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

A resident spotted Samuel Thomas Eaton, 27, riding a bicycle along Sterling Boulevard March 1 and called the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies reported to the area and arrested Eaton without incident, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with robbery, burglary and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

On Feb. 10, three men entered a home on the 1200 block of E. Kennedy Drive in what the Sheriff’s Office has described as an apparent home invasion robbery. Two of the suspects were shot by one of the residents. Anthony D. Miles, 28, of Manassas, died from his injuries, while a 32-year-old injured accomplice fled. Investigators believe Eaton was at the scene and fled the scene with the injured man, who was later dropped off at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

Investigators arrested and charged two women – Rebecca Hook, 27, of Lovettsville and Whitney Lasik, 24, of Sterling – with one count each of being an accessory after the fact. In addition, Lasik was charged with obstruction of justice.  All of those charges are Class 1 misdemeanors. Both women have been released on bond pending their trials.

The identity of the surviving injured accomplice has been withheld pending charges, which likely will be sought when his recovery is further along,j according to the Sheriff’s Office. Eaton is being held without bond at the Loudoun Adult Detention Center.  He was arraigned March 2.
