LCSO: Ashburn Woman Bites Deputy, Refuses Breath Test

The incident occurred at the adult detention following a traffic stop along Belmont Ridge Road.

An Ashburn woman involved in a traffic stop along Belmont Ridge Road gave a deputy more than he bargained for when she bit him, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy stopped the vehicle near Truro Parish Drive in Ashburn. Nan R. Ciullo, 57, was ultimately taken to the Loudoun Adult Detention Center where she refused to submit to a breath test, according to the report.

“She became belligerent and assaulted a deputy by biting him,” the report stated.

Ciullo was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to a breath test and assault on law enforcement.
