Update: Video Released of Minivan Wanted in Hit and Run

The Sterling incident, which involved a motorcyclist, occurred Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE Dec. 22 Investigators have released a short video of the vehicle suspected in the hit-and-run.

UPDATE Dec. 15 9:30 a.m. Investigators confirmed that the make and model of the minivan: Toyota Sienna.

Investigators with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a burgundy minivan and its driver after a hit-and-run accident near South Cottage and South Fox roads in Sterling.

Around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, the minivan, possibly a Toyota, struck an adult male riding a Yamaha Nouvo motorcycle, according to a report from the LCSO. The minivan driver pulled over and then fled the scene.

Investigators believe the minivan has damage to the front of the car on the driver’s side, including the headlight area. Rescue workers took the victim to Reston Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the incident, the suspect vehicle or the driver, is asked to contact DFC J.M. McClintic of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-771-5798. If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
