LCSO Enrolls 31st Citizens’ Police Academy

Anyone interested in fall training classes must sign up in advance for spaces allotted first come, first served.

Loudoun County Sheriff Michael L. Chapman announced Thursday the beginning of enrollment for the 31st Citizen’s Police Academy, which begins Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Class members participate in classes taught by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office personnel that provide an overview of all the aspects of law enforcement within the agency. Participants also may have the option of participating in a ride-a-long upon graduation.

The free sessions run from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each Wednesday from Sept. 12 through Nov. 28. Locations will be announced prior to each session.

The classes are open to Loudoun County residents over the age of 18 on a first come, first served basis. Enrollment is limited to 30. To enroll, contact Becky Roll at (703)737-8520, during normal business hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
