LCSO Investigates Shooting in Sterling

Investigators believe victim of Gannon Way incident was targeted.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a man with multiple gunshot wounds when they responded to a call on the 20 block of Gannon Way in Sterling around 4:40 p.m. Sunday, according to an LCSO report.

Investigators believe the 22-year-old Sterling man was targeted by acquaintances and that it was not a random act. Two reported suspects fled the scene before deputies arrived, according to an LCSO press release. The victim was flown by helicopter to a local hospital for treatment.

Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475. If the information provided to Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, callers could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
