LCSO Investigating Gunfire at Great Falls Chase Home

At least one person was struck during the early morning incident on Chippoaks Forest Circle.

A shooting incident in Great Falls Chase remains under investigation by the Loudoun Sheriff’s Office after those involved refused to cooperate.

Deputies were called to the 20900 block of Chipoaks Forest Circle around 5 a.m. Aug. 6 and told that an altercation had ended in gunfire, according to an LCSO press release.

According to the release, several people were inside the home when someone pulled out a gun, leading to a struggle. The firearm discharged, striking someone, who was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne with non-life-threatening injuries.

Because the subjects involved in the incident were not cooperating, investigators activated Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, or SERT, to secure the home where a weapon was recovered. While the home was being secured, the LCSO activated a reverse 911 system advising residents in the area to stay in their homes.
