LCSO Seeks Caller Who Gave Upperville Homicide Tip

Fairfax County Crime Solvers received the tip in 2004 about the murder, which occurred in 2001.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Cold Case Unit issued a request Tuesday to find the person who called Crime Solvers in April 2004 to provide information about a 2001 homicide in Upperville, VA. Upperville is along Route 50 near Loudoun’s westernmost corner.

The caller – who contacted Fairfax County Crime Solvers – had given two names alleged to be involved in the August 2001 murder of Ursula Haberland, who was 81 at the time. She was found in her home on the 21700 block of Greengarden Road.

“The LCSO Cold Case Unit would like to hear from this caller, as they have some follow-up questions pertaining to the original call,” according to the request.
