LCSO: Take Precautions After Lansdowne Burglaries

Three homes in the community were entered easily and valuables were taken.

Friday the 13th proved unlucky for three Lansdowne residents whose homes were burglarized, and the incidents prompted the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office this week to remind residents to secure their homes and vehicles to prevent easy access.

Deputies reported to homes on Scenic Creek Way, Lecroy Circle and Parallel Bluffs Court, July 13 in response to reports of the burglaries. Wallets, cell phones and other small electronic devices were taken, according to a report from the LCSO.

In two cases, according to the report, doors to the homes were left unlocked, while access to the Parallel Bluffs home appears to have been made via the garage after the burglar found a garage-door opener in an unlocked vehicle.
