LCSO Thanks Resdients for Helping Find Bronco

The law enforcement canine got away from a groomer Friday in Leesburg.

After going AWOL for a couple of days, Bronco, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office canine, was found Sunday afternoon.

The German Shepherd took off from a groomer near Catoctin Circle and King Street in Leesburg Friday afternoon, and the sheriff’s office quickly asked the public for help finding the dog. Several residents reported possible sightings and eventually deputies found Bronco near Ivandale Road in Leesburg, according to an LCSO report.

Bronco appeared healthy, but was taken to a veterinarian as a precaution.

“We appreciate the outpouring of support in bringing Bronco back to his handler,” Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a press release. “The efforts of residents spreading the word through social media and offering to help in the search was overwhelming and we are grateful for those residents who kept an eye out for Bronco and helped bring him home.”

That is a great looking dog, glad he's safe. Ivandale Road from Catoctin and King, wow, I'm impressed. Maybe he was heading for the Casino's...
