Man in Sex Video With Child Gives Clues to His Identity; Do You Know Him?

Enhanced photography offers clues authorities hope will lead to capture.

The FBI is looking for help identifying a man who apparently unwittingly provided clues to who he is in a sexually explicit video involving a child.

Images and video of the man, known by authorities only as John Doe 28, were first recorded in 2012 by by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to an FBI news release.

Investigators successfully enhanced images depicting John Doe 28 and believe they contain several clues, which may lead to his identification.

For example, the video shows the man and the victim inside a residence with what appears to be a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background.  The man is wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy t-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on his left side. 

The FBI does not know what part of the United States the images were recorded, but the FBI's Washington office is aggressively pushing the case to the public because of the clues provided.

The man is described as white, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline and wearing wire-framed glasses.

Anyone with information to provide should submit a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov/ , or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).  

"The public is reminded no charges have been filed in this case and the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law," the FBI said in its news release.
