Man Sought for Reportedly Hugging, Kissing NOVA Students

Investigators are sorting through incidents reported to Loudoun and campus authorities.

Investigators are searching for a man who reportedly attempted to hug and kiss two women near Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun campus, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

A female student at the school reported that an unknown male started talking to her as she was walking from a bus stop along Potomac View Road sometime between 7:20 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 21. The man then attempted to kiss her cheek, then hugged and kissed her, according to the report.

A similar incident was reported to campus police around 7 p.m. on the same day. The campus police and the LCSO are working together to determine whether they are related and whether there is more than one suspect.

After the incident, the suspect left the area and walked along Potomac View Road towards Algonkian Parkway.

The victim who called the LCSO reported the incident Oct. 22 after hearing about a similar incident.

The suspect in the LCSO case is described as a white male, possibly Hispanic, in his 20s. The suspect in the other case is described as a white male, possible Middle Eastern. Both were described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 with an athletic build and short black hair. At least one suspect spoke with a thick unfamiliar accent and wore a dark-colored T-shirt and striped shorts.

The suspect in the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office case is described as a White, possibly Hispanic, male in his 20’s. In the NOVA Police case he is described as a White, possibly Middle Eastern, male. Both victims described the suspect as being approximately 5’6” to 5’7” tall with an athletic build and short black hair. He also speaks with a thick accent of unknown descent. The suspect was further described as wearing a dark colored T-shirt and striped shorts.
