More Details in Bethany Decker Case Revealed, Sought

News reports, including those from the Examiner and the Washington Post, indicate that investigators searched the Centreville home of a man identified as the boyfriend of missing Ashburn mother Bethany Anne Decker, 21.

Decker was last seen Jan. 29 at a family event, but did not show up to see her husband off to military duty on Feb. 2, according to Loudoun County Sheriff’s investigators. During a press conference this past Wednesday, investigators did not mention the boyfriend, who lived with his mother according to the Examiner’s review of the warrant.

Other information from the warrant detailed by the Examiner indicates that the boyfriend was a GMU student, as was Decker, and that he gave conflicting statements to police about when he first saw Decker’s car at her Ashburn apartment – where her grandparents found it Feb. 16 – after her disappearance.

Decker and her husband vacationed in Hawaii shortly before she went missing.

The warrent also indicates that an unidentified person chatted with Decker's friends using her "inactive" Facebook account, according to the Examiner story.
