Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Plowman’s office has
determined that no charges will be filed related to the death of a Sterling
teenager who entered the wrong home after a night out with friends.
Caleb Gordley had gone out drinking with friends and returned home around 2:30 a.m. March 17; however, Gordley, 16, entered the wrong home, according to reports.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of the home Gordley entered called out to the teen, but continued moving toward bedrooms in the home. Gordley was shot in the back of his shoulder, according to the LCSO investigation.
