Police Arrest Herndon Man in Sterling Bottle Stabbing

Fairfax police make arrest for malicious wounding of teenager along Enterprise Street.

Fairfax County police on Sunday arrested a Herndon man who was wanted for a June 19 malicious wounding incident in Sterling.

Natividad D. Alvarado-Arias, 49, is believed to be the man who assaulted a 17-year-old who was with friends on the 400 block of Enterprise Street around 2 a.m. when several men approached the group.

According to information released from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, a man believed to be Alvarado-Arias questioned the group’s presence and assaulted one of them. He then stabbed the 17-year-old, causing serious injuries that required surgery. The victim has since been released.

A cooperating witness helped LCSO investigators create a composite sketch that a member of a law enforcement agency in the area identified as Alvarado-Arias. Based on that information, members of the Fairfax County Police Department located the suspect on Aug. 7 and took him into custody. He remains in custody at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
