Police: Stolen Truck Used in Hit and Run

Truck was stolen Tuesday, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The Loudoun County Sheirff's Office is seeking help in finding a stolen truck and identifying the suspect after the truck was involved in a hit and run on Wednesday.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect and a photo of what the vehicle would look like.

The vehicle, a 2005 Freightliner, was reported stolen May 6 from the area of Route 50 near Fleetwood Road. The truck is described as white with a yellow top and black bottom, with a license plate of RA 40159.

On Wednesday, the truck was involved in a hit and run crash in the area of Fort Evans Road and the Route 7/Route 15 Bypass in the Town of Leesburg.

The driver is described as being white in his late 40s to late 50s.
