Police: Teen Seriously Injured in Parking Lot Stunt

Incident at Broad Run High School parking lot. Second teen charged with reckless driving, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

A 16-year-old was seriously injured Sunday in a parking lot stunt at Broad Run High School, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The boy fell from a mountain board that was being pulled by a car driven by a second 16-year-old. Neither teen was identified by police.

According to a Sheriff's Office release, the rope had been tied to the back of the vehicle and the victim was being pulled through the parking lot when he fell off the board. He was not wearing a helmet.

The victim was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital, and then flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was charged with reckless driving.
