Police: Woman Pinned to Car Trunk in Hit and Run

Vehicle description released in hopes of identifying suspect, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

A woman opening the trunk of her car in a Sterling parking lot was pinned to the car when another motorist backed into her.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is hoping that the vehicle's description will help identify the suspect in the case. The vehicle is described as a tan 1998-2004 Honda Odyssey.

At 2:49 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 150 block of Enterprise Street regarding a pedestrian struck and hit and run.

The victim, 56, had exited her vehicle and walking to get into her car's trunk as the minivan was backing into the space behind her car. The woman was removing items from her trunk when the van hit her.

"The woman yelled for the driver to stop and the driver continued in reverse and pinned her between the trunk of her car and the back of the minivan," according to a Sheriff's Office statement.

The minivan then quickly sped off. The victim was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital at Lansdowne with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the suspect can contact DFC S. Allen of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit at 703-737-8308.
