Purchase of One Loudoun Sheriff’s Station Finalized

The county agreed to the $8.8 million deal in 2012 for the station expected to open in 2014.

The sale of a 13.3-acre parcel in One Loudoun for a new Loudoun County Sheriff's Office station was completed Thursday. The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors agree to the $8.8 million purchase in July from One Loudoun developers Miller & Smith and North America Sekisui House.

The site is located near Russell Branch and Loudoun County parkways.

“This is great news,” Sheriff Mike Chapman said in an earlier press release. “Our Ashburn station will be community-based, provide greater access to the public, and will be strategically located to better serve a rapidly growing area of Loudoun County.”

A Miller & Smith representative said such a facility will help make One Loudoun a complete community.

“We’re building a genuine community here at One Loudoun and are honored to have the Sheriff’s Office be part of it,” Bill May, vice president of Miller & Smith, said in a press release. “This addition will allow substantial public safety services to benefit our growing neighborhood and the surrounding areas.”
