Sketch Released in Armed Robbery Investigation

Recent stickups may be linked to December incidents, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is releasing a new composite sketch of a suspect possibly involved in four armed robberies in the Sterling area, including two last month.

On Feb. 14, a Stanford Square woman was walking to her apartment when the unknown suspect approached her carrying a firearm. He allegedly demanded her wallet and told her to remove her jacket. When she screamed, he fled the scene.

On Feb. 9, a Sterling woman was also going into her apartment when approached by an unknown man with a gun who demanded her wallet. The suspect was described as having a medium complexion and in his 20's.

There were two other similar cases in December, including one victim who was told to drop some items to the ground and to remove some clothing.

If you have any information regarding the possible identity of the suspect you are asked to call Detective M. Grimsley or Detective C. Cunningham of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.
