Sterling Couple Found Dead From Apparent Murder-Suicide

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the scene for additional evidence.

An investigation into an apparent murder-suicide continues in Sterling today, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

A Sheriff’s 911 dispatcher received a call around 6 a.m. today regarding a shooting on the 800 block of South Birch Street in Sterling. Deputies found a female victim, later identified as Mercedes K. Perry, 61, inside the home. Deputies located a male victim, identified as Larry E. Perry, 64, outside the home near a detached garage.

Shortly before noon today, investigators reaffirmed their belief that Larry Perry killed his wife and then turned the weapon on himself.

The case remains under investigation by the Loudoun Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.
