Stray Bullet Travels Through Wall, Neighbor's Bed

An Ashburn resident is accused of firing two rounds from his gun early Wednesday morning, with one ending up in a neighbor's bedroom, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Juan M. Ramos-Marroquin, 33, of Chantilly, is charged with unlawful discharge in an occupied residence. 

Deputies responded to the 44200 block of Litchfield Terrace on Wednesday afternoon regarding the earlier incident.

A neighbor of Ramos-Maroquin contacted police when he found that a bullet had travelled through a bedroom wall and through his bed. The victim reported hearing a commotion in the overnight hours Wednesday morning.

Deputies discovered Ramos-Maroquin had allegedly discharged two rounds from a firearm around 2 a.m. that same day. One of the rounds was fired into a shared wall and the second was fired outside the back of the home, according to the Sheriff's Office.
