When a car struck a deer Thursday on Claiborne Parkway in the Ashburn area of Loudoun county, the deer went flying and struck a jogger on the sidewalk, according to news reports.

Both the driver and the jogger were injured and taken to a hospital for treatment of not life-threatening injuries, according to The Washington Post.

There are more deer here now than when our country was founded. With Lyme disease so prevalent, we need to thin the herds ASAP. Human lives and damage to cars and property need to be protected NOW>
