Suspect Sketch Released in Alleged Assault of South Riding Child

Assistance sought identifying man and residents are encouraged to report suspicious people, activity.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office detectives seek the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the alleged July 2 assault of a child on Mink Meadows Streets in South Riding, and on Friday released a sketch of the man.

 

An 11-year-old girl reported that an unknown Hispanic male grabbed her as she walked along Mink Meadows Street around 7:45 p.m., according to a an LCSO report. She ran home and did not require medical attention.

The suspect is believed to be in his late 20s; have brownish green eyes; thick, dark brown or black hair; a normal build; tan complexion; and a large nose. He was further described as 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with freckles and two moles on his face – one flesh-colored on or near his left nostril and a dark mole along his upper right hairline. He was reported to have worn a black hoodie over a black T-shirt and black jeans.

LCSO deputies, with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department, searched the area but did not locate a suspect.

Officers continue to patrol the area and are asking anyone who may know the identity of the suspect to call Detective P. Beaver of the LCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious people, vehicles or activity they see by immediately calling the Loudoun Emergency Communications Center at 703-777-1021.
