Suspect Sought for Sexual Assault of Girl, 5

Sterling Park incident believed to involve man living in victim's home.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has asked for anyone who may know the whereabouts of Lorenzo Benitez, 62, who most recently lived in Sterling Park, to contact investigators.

Benitez is a suspect in the sexual assault of a 5-year-old Sterling Park girl, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. He had been living in the victim’s home for several months prior to the alleged assault. The location of the home has not been released to protect the identity of the girl.

Benitez, a Hispanic male, stands 5-foot-1 weighs 130 pounds, and has brown eyes and curly black hair. The suspect does not currently have a fixed address, but is believed to have connections to the Leesburg area. Deputies have obtained warrants on Benitez for aggravated sexual battery, and assault and battery.

Anyone with information about Benitez should contact Investigator M. Grimsley of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. Information leading to an arrest and indictment, could be result in a cash reward of up to $1,000.
