Suspicious Woman Reported, Man Charged

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor incident among reports from the Sheriff's East County Station.

Sunday evening deputies responded to East Severn Way for a report of a female attempting to get a 16-year-old male into a car. A sheriff’s deputy found a vehicle matching the description given by the victim and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy discovered the driver was a male dressed in women's clothing. Deputies charged Jose H. Mejia-Ulloa, 41, of Herndon, VA, with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was being held on a $5000 secured bond.

Other incident throughout the week:

  • Larceny: A girl’s mountain bike was reported taken from the backyard of a residence on the 300 block of Felsted Court at 12:48 p.m. May 30.
  • Auto Theft: A black 2007 Carry On trailer that was left in a parking lot was reported taken on the 500 block of Shaw Road between 10 a.m. May 30 and 6:15 a.m. May 31.
  • Larceny: Concrete forms were reported taken from a construction site on the 23200 block of Fallen Hill Drive between 5 p.m. May 30 and 7 a.m. May 31.
  • Destruction of Property: Spray paint was reported on a bridge abutment in the area of Ruritan Road and Atlantic Boulevard between 3 p.m. May 26 and 6:45 a.m. May 31.
  • Destruction of Property: The rear window of a bus was reported damaged on the 100 block of Free Court between 6:30 p.m. May 27 and 6 a.m. May 31.
  • Larceny: A pocket bike was reported taken from a parking space on the 1200 block of Chase Heritage Circle at noon May 22.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported keyed on the 47400 block of Middle Bluff Terrace at 11 p.m. May 30.
  • Destruction of Property: A vehicle was reported keyed on the 21000 block of Whitfield Place at 4:20 p.m. May 31.
  • Pedestrian Struck: A 20-year-old Ashburn woman is expected to fully recover after she was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening after she attempted to cross Route 7 near Campus Drive. Around 5 p.m., Kiera Small was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Route 7 just west of the intersection at Campus Drive when a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix struck her. She was attempting to cross the roadway against the green light for westbound traffic. She was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
  • Destruction of Property: A sliding glass door was reported damaged on the 46700 block of Macaw Square at 11 a.m. Jun. 1.
  • Larceny: Money from a purse and a CD player were reported taken from a vehicle on the 600 block of East Charlotte Street between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Jun. 2.
  • Larceny: A county resident agreed to meet with a subject who was selling a computer over the Internet at the 20800 block of Wallingford Square at 7:03 p.m. Jun. 2. The subject grabbed the payment from the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. The subject is described as a white male in his mid-20s, with a light build, short brown hair and a short red beard.
  • Destruction of Property: Anti-Semitic graffiti and possible gang-related graffiti was reported spray painted in a pedestrian tunnel in the area of Lowes Island Boulevard and Algonkian Parkway at 3:32 p.m. Jun. 1.
  • Larceny: A chainsaw and a gas blower were reported removed from a vehicle on the 1000 block of South Greenthorn Avenue between 8 p.m. Jun. 1 and 5 a.m. Jun. 3.
  • Destruction of Property: The driver’s side tire of a vehicle was reported damaged on the 120 block of Wrightwood Place between 12:01 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Jun. 4.
  • Destruction of Property: The exterior of a vehicle was reported scratched on the 21000 block of Whitfield Place at 1 a.m. Jun. 4.
  • Destruction of Property: Two tires were reported damaged on two separate vehicles on the 46600 block of Kingschase Court between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Jun. 4.
  • Destruction of Property: The driver’s side tires were reported damaged on a vehicle on the 200 block of Markwood Drive between 12:01 a.m. and 11 a.m. Jun. 4.
  • Suspicious Event: An 11-year-old female reported she was riding her bicycle on the 800 block of Croydon Street at 7:03 p.m. Jun. 4 when she observed an unknown male sitting in a vehicle. The 11-year-old reported the subject approached her and she rode home. The subject was described as a middle-aged Hispanic male with a mustache. The vehicle was described as a white two-door pick-up truck.
  • Larceny: A GPS was reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 46600 block of Kingschase Court between 6 a.m. Jun. 4 and 7 a.m. Jun. 5.
  • Destruction of Property: The window to a vehicle was reported damaged on the 46300 block of Hampshire Station Drive between 8 p.m. Jun. 4 and 8 p.m. Jun. 5.
  • Destruction of Property: The front and back doors of a residence were reported damaged on the 40 block of Sugarland Square Court at 4:45 a.m. Jun. 5. The damaged appeared to have been caused by fireworks being set off in the area.
  • Destruction of Property: A car windshield was reported damaged on the 20600 block of Muddy Harbour Square at 9:30 a.m. Jun. 5.
  • Suspicious Event: An 8-year-old male reported he was approached by an unknown male teenager riding a bicycle on the 200 block of East Staunton Avenue at 5:35 p.m. Jun. 5. The 8-year-old reported the teenager told him to follow him. The teenaged subject was described as being a white male wearing an orange shirt and tan pants riding a dark-colored bicycle.
