Teenager Victim of Malicious Wounding in Sterling

Investigators are looking for a Hispanic male who may be driving a green Toyota Tacoma.

Investigators are looking for the suspect in an Sterling assault that left a teenager with serious injuries, according to a press release from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Witness told deputies that a 17-year-old and several friends were walking along the 100 block of Enterprise Street when several males confronted them. One male approached the 17-year-old and assaulted him. The same suspect then grabbed a broken beer bottle and assaulted the victim.

Friends took the victim, who suffered serious injuries, to Reston Hospital Center. He later was transferred to Inova Fairfax Hospital. Personnel at Inova alterted deputies from the Loudoun Sheriff’s Office were alerted around 4:45 a.m.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the malicious wounding.

The friends of the victim described a 6-foot-two-inch Hispanic male suspect who wore a black polo shirt with gray and white stripes, and blue jeans at the time of the incident. He was further described as having a large scar around his left eye. The suspect is believed to be driving a green Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

The victim remains hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
