2 Accidents Claim 4 Lives in Loudoun Early Sunday Morning

Motorcycle accident in Ashburn and SUV accident near Leesburg are under investigation.

Four people died in two separate accidents in Loudoun County early Sunday morning, according to reports from the Virginia State Police. The names of the victims were not immediately available as authorities notified next of kin.

At 12:49 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, a 2013 BMW 750LI crashed into a 2006 Harley-Davidson Classic along Ashburn Farm Parkway at Junction Plaza, according to a VSP report. Both people on the motorcycle were thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Then, at 1:38 a.m. Sunday, a 1994 Ford Explorer heading north on Evergreen Mills Road near Reservoir Road south of Leesburg ran off the road and struck a tree, according to a VSP report. A fire quickly engulfed the vehicle. The Explorer’s two occupants died at the scene. Speed was considered a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
