Two Ashburn Students Injured in Fall at UVA

A JMU student visiting Charlottesville was listed in critical condition over the weekend.

Two Ashburn college students were injured Sept. 24 after falling from a balcony at the University of Virginia, according to a report from the Charlottesville Police Department.

Joseph A. Gabro, a 20-year-old JMU student, was listed in critical condition Sunday, according to the report. Corey P. Milner, an 18-year-old UVA student was listed in good condition.

Officers responded to 513 Rugby Road, a fraternity house, around 2:30 a.m. and were told two males had fallen off of a balcony and a crowd had gathered in the driveway. Witnesses told police that the two men were leaning against the balcony railing that gave way. They fell one story, resulting in one being knocked unconscious.

Both were transported to the hospital.
