Two Loudoun Corrections Fires Called Arson

Investigators are examining the possibility of a connection between the blazes at two separate offices.

The Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office recently announced that it has classified a Dec. 19 fire at Loudoun Department of Community Corrections office on Edwards Ferry Road in Leesburg as an attempted arson, marking the second case of arson at the office in just over a month.

The early morning fire produced minimal damage to the structure where staff members have been housed since an earlier Nov. 14 fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to the agency’s office at 107 Loudoun Street in Leesburg. The two incidents have not been conclusively linked, but investigators are examining that possibility.

Anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for either or both fires could be eligible for a reward and is asked to call Loudoun County Crime Solvers, 703-777-1919.
