As Healthcare Exchanges Open, Loudoun Assesses Its Residents' Health

Take the Loudoun Health Check online and help health officials determine the county's greatest needs.

Loudoun County wants to get to know you a little more personally, and to do so health officials have launched the Loudoun Health Check to assess needs in the county.

The goal of this assessment is to identify the current state of health Loudoun County’s residents, learn which health-related issues are of greatest concern to residents, and identify ways to create a healthier community. This assessment was last conducted in 2008 and provided critical information to help focus the community’s public health priorities.

The first and essential step in this process is a survey of Loudoun residents. It's available in English and Spanish.

“This brief, anonymous survey is critical to understanding the priorities and needs of our residents,” said Dr. David Goodfriend, Loudoun County Health Department Director, in a statement from the county. “Our hope is that Loudoun residents will take a few moments to complete the survey and get their family members, friends and neighbors to do so as well. The more people who complete the survey, the better understanding we will have of the needs of all our residents, from South Riding to Lovettsville, from middle school students to retirees, and from people in perfect health to those with chronic illnesses.”
