Firefighter Family Day

The Loudoun County Fire-Rescue System invites members of the Loudoun community to attend the upcoming “Firefighter Family Day”. This event provides an opportunity for the public to observe members of the Spring 2011 Firefighter I-II graduating class as they test their skills during live burn evolutions. Please note that a one-time tour of the inside of the burn building will be conducted at 7:30 a.m.

The public is invited to watch from a safe distance as experienced fire and rescue personnel narrate the actions of the firefighters as they respond to live fire and simulated victim saves at the Loudoun County Fire-Rescue Training Center on 16595 Courage Court, Leesburg VA.

Fire-Rescue system leaders will be available to speak with attendees and provide information about firefighting. Canteen service will be provided by Arcola Volunteer Fire-Rescue. Limited seating is available but it is suggested that you bring a fold up chair. Cameras and videotaping are permitted. In the event of extreme weather conditions, Family Day may be postponed or cut short.
