E.W. Jackson Refiles Campaign Finance Report With 23 New Donors

Five days after the deadline, the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor filed a corrected campaign finance report listing all of his donors.

E.W. Jackson, Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, has amended his latest campaign finance disclosure forms after flubbing his original reportfiled July 15.

According to the Virginia Public Access Project, Jackson’s campaign submitted a corrected report on Friday. The new report included 23 donors who weren’t originally included on the form filed on the July 15 deadline.

The July 15 report was the second consecutive report on whichJackson failed to properly itemize all of the donors who had given more than $100 to his campaign.

Jackson reported a total of $118,608 in campaign contributions from May 30 to June 30, but at the top of the itemized list of donors was a contribution of $48,155 from his own political action committee. Jackson was given time to submit a report with the donors for the amount properly listed.

The amended report listed total donations of $141,823, an increase from the $118,608 originally reported. The campaign also reported new expenses of $92,398, up from $66,412.
