Letourneau Elected COG VP

The Dulles supervisor gets a leadership post on regional panel.

Dulles District Supervisor Matthew F. Letourneau (R) was recently named a vice president of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Board of Directors for 2013. Gaithersburg City Council Member Cathy Drzyzgula will serve as COG President. Letourneau, along with County Chairman Scott K. York (R-At Large), represents Loudoun on the COG board.

“I look forward to taking a more active role in the leadership of COG,” Letourneau said in a press release. “COG has an important role to play in bringing together elected leaders from jurisdictions across the region. Increasing Loudoun’s role in regional discussions about transportation and other important issues will only serve to benefit our residents, many of whom face commuting and infrastructure challenges outside of Loudoun every day.”
