Loudoun Board to Meet Wednesdays in 2013

Business meeting and public hearing schedule changed; and other organizational matters to be taken up Wednesday.

Starting with this week’s Jan. 2 meeting, the Loudoun Board of Supervisors will begin operating under a new schedule, with business meetings and public hearings on Wednesdays.

For the 2013 calendar year, the board’s regular business meetings will begin at 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. During each of those meetings, a public input session will be held at 6 p.m. Public hearings will be held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.

Supervisors canceled the Dec. 18 business meeting and will next meet Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Supervisors will set meetings times for other committees when it considers organizational matters Wednesday, including the election of a new vice chairman. Current vice chairman Supervisor Janet Clarke (R-Blue Ridge) said she preferred to rotate the position among board members.
