Loudoun County Names New Parks & Rec Director

Steve Torpy, Acting Director of Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services, has been selected as the department's new director.

Steve Torpy has been selected as the new Director of Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS). Torpy has served as the Acting Director of the department since April 2014, following the retirement of former director Diane Ryburn.

Steve emerged as the best fit for the county,” said County Administrator Tim Hemstreet. “The Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services will continue to provide outstanding recreational and leisure opportunities, and community service programs that benefit our residents.”
