Loudoun Personal Property, Car Taxes Due Oct. 7

Residents are reminded to take payments to a local office, get them in the mail or make them online.

It’s tax time! The deadline for paying personal property taxes is Monday, Oct. 7, and Loudoun Treasurer H. Roger Zurn Jr. issued a reminded this week.

A 10 percent penalty applies to payments postmarked after Oct. 7, with an additional interest rate of 10 percent per year. Payments made more than 60 days after the deadline incur an additional 15 percent penalty. Extensions are not granted for bills where a question has been submitted to the Commissioner of the Revenue.
