On Sept. 8, the Loudoun Board of Supervisors re-affirmed its intent to maintain eight election districts–supervisors representing each district along with an at-large county chairman comprise the board. Supervisors also approved a set of guidelines to be used in drawing the new district lines.

Initial redistricting scenarios will be based on county staff population estimates. Once the U.S. Census Bureau releases the official 2010 figures in February 2011, the plans/scenarios will be adjusted accordingly.
