Not excited about any talking head in office! More concerned with the traffic effects of the Loudoun Tour being 2 of his stops are very close to home!

Goodness this was a post about getting tickets to see the President then it turned into a debate about the candidates?...I can't stand when someone (Shellie) acts as if WE'RE not ALL in America. Hell we know our country isn't in the greatest shape but you can't blame one person...we didn't get here in 3 years...this took time and poor effort from other adminstrations as well. To be honest the only place I've seen a Romney sign is up Georgetown Pke..U know the one with the mansions and nice lawns(where the money is) He didn't even bother to see if middle class people would be willing to hear him out....
Shellie July 31, 2012 at 02:38 PM
Hey (SASHA) keep drinking your leftie coolaid and and dreaming of a socialistic world, because that's what Obama wants, you're dreaming people if you think Obama is FOR America, he didn't earn that peace prize, someone else made that happen. I'll be putting up ALOT of Romney signs, thanks for that idea!! Romney will win the election, and this world will be a better place, yes!!!!!!!
realtalk July 31, 2012 at 03:35 PM
So your saying don't point the finger at Bush for taking 8 years to mess everything up but blame Obama for not fixing it in 4 years? lol ok sounds smart.
realtalk July 31, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Shellie...1. You have your faith in a guy that doesn't know how much money he makes (at least says he doesn't) 2. He doesn't know how much he pays in taxes. Do you think he even knows what a budget is?
E.J. July 31, 2012 at 04:07 PM
Take a ride around in Sugarland Run. There are already more than half a dozen Romney signs. I only spotted one for Obama on Willow.
Chez Shay July 31, 2012 at 04:22 PM
Realtalk, I like that.. lol! And then his spokesperson tells reporters to Kiss His Ass! How professional. And of course, that will be smoothed over with a half-hearted apology and life goes on. I am so absolutely tired of all the bashing that goes on on both sides. When a problem arises, the solution is not to destroy the character of the other person but rather look for solutions. We will never solve all problems for all people but President Obama is for the middle class. How does Romney sit there with a straight face making millions of dollars and paying only a 13.9 percent tax rate? Why is he reluctant to show more of his tax returns? For fear that what will be revealed is the truth? Shellie, get to staking your signs. I'll use my time more wisely to help educate people so that they are able to make an informed decision when exercising their right to vote. Thank you and good-bye!
JM Zech July 31, 2012 at 04:26 PM
Shellie ... careful where you put those signs. Loudoun County is particular where they are placed. Besides ... it will be a waste of time ... because Obama is going to be re-elected. I do have to give you credit for voicing your opinion though ... because during the last presidential election, I was stunned after reading the newspaper story about all the Republican women who live in Lansdowne ... choosing not to listen to any of the candidates, including their own party. Now that is scary and sad. Many of them vote Republican because that is what their family has done for years. Women, of all people, should pay close attention to what Romney says he will do in regard to women's rights. Don't even get me started on that one.

"Based on the people I've met here today, I believe it would take no more than TWO of you to change a lightbulb." -Romney in Poland
Tricey July 31, 2012 at 08:12 PM
Why not ask Romney where all the jobs are at. He is part of sending them overseas. Everyone blaming the President but not looking and researching what he has did. It will take more than four years to fix the economy. I'm in the healthcare filed and we need this obamacare plan badly.
JM Zech July 31, 2012 at 09:35 PM
Exactly how I feel, Tricey. I mentioned in an earlier thread or post ... that Obama said in a speech before he was even elected as President of the US, that it would take more than four years to fix the economy and healthcare.
Nadeem Khan July 31, 2012 at 11:28 PM
Where is the smallest line for tickets
E.J. August 01, 2012 at 01:07 AM
Actually, what Obama said was "If I don't turn things around in three years it will be a one term proposition." ....and that's exactly what will happen.
Nathaniel Hix August 01, 2012 at 10:51 AM
Supporters of Obama: moochers, government employees, baby killers, illegal aliens, socialists, race whores, union thugs, people who think nobody builds things but get everything from government, people who don't know what the capital of Israel is, people who think that government-run healthcare won't be just like the DMV, people who don't care that all that "stimulus" money was wasted on Obama's cronies.... In other words, Democrats. Good luck with that!
Lisa C. August 01, 2012 at 12:52 PM
Romney may be rich, but he's worked hard and has had terrific financial sense to get where he is. He has not taken hand outs or expected someone else to pay his bills. Romney is for taking America back to it's roots where a person who works hard and makes good decisions can make something of his/ her life. That's the problem with many Americans these days...they don't want to put in the hard work. They just want someone to take care of them because they feel they are entitled to having without doing. That's what Obama wants...dependent people with their hand out who will let the government have all the power...I wish people would open their eyes and quit listening to the desperate nonsense and lies that Obama keeps throwing out there...it's so frustrating. I pray that come November America will be back on the track of being the country that we were meant to be!
MIke August 01, 2012 at 05:29 PM
That is because Romney sucks only marginally less than Obama. Ron Paul has my vote via write in, or maybe Gary Johnson. Neither one of the socialists being paraded in front of me as democrat or republicans deserve my vote.
Jules M. August 01, 2012 at 05:41 PM
Interesting point. Did you know that when Romney was over in Israel, he praised them on how little of their GDP they spend on healthcare? They spend 8% while U.S. spends 18%, of course Romney would praise this. What he failed to do, was his homework. Israel subscribes to "socialized medicine" all citizens are required to have health insurance and no one is discriminated if they have a pre-existing condition. ROMNEY = FAIL in foreign relations !
Jules M. August 01, 2012 at 05:46 PM
Apparently, inside word from a Bain representative is that he paid $0 taxes for 9 straight years. realtalk has a great point, if he doesn't follow his own money well enough to remember key numbers, how is he going to run this country? SCARY!
Dogpatch August 01, 2012 at 05:54 PM
Romney, the guy that outsources our jobs to foreign countries.....no thanks.
Jules M. August 01, 2012 at 06:07 PM
Shellie, if you are a conservative voter, please look closely at Romney. Don't let propoganda move your lips. Let's try to focus on getting the "real" Republicans back into the main stream.
Michael Barrett August 01, 2012 at 07:21 PM
There are people in this country who need to work two jobs just to earn enough to keep their home and to keep their family fed. Romney was born into wealth and risked virtually nothing when he was at Bain Capital. Returning military can't find jobs despite the incredible sacrifice that they made for their country, while major corporations are outsourcing jobs to other countries and are doing very well financially, thank you. You should listen to something other than FOX news and the ideologues who are in the pocket of corporate PACs. The entities who are getting the biggest handouts in this country are the oil companies, the agricultural conglomerates, and the wealthy through tax subsidies. What about the very old, the physically and mentally disabled? Are they among the people who don't want to put in the hard work? They are the ones who would lose out under a Romney administration since he and you appear to believe that everyone should make his/her own way in this society with no help. Loudoun County is the wealthiest county in the United States. Maybe everyone here should be required to move to Michigan or Ohio for a year without their nest eggs. If you work hard, maybe you could get a job.
Ashburner August 01, 2012 at 07:32 PM
Obama is a socailist that needs to go...I'm voting for the guy that beleives in the constitution, that person is Mitt Romney....Go Mitt Go....
Michael Barrett August 01, 2012 at 08:05 PM
I am curious to know what your understanding of socialism is and why you believe that Obama is a socialist. If it is the so-called "Obama Care", I note that the program relies on availability of private insurance with provisions that require availability to everyone. Is it the rescue of the auto companies through loans to be paid back? It's lucky they happened or we would be depending on Japan or Europe for auto manufacture. Is it the controls over the banking industry? Well, those started under the Bush administration. Frankly, I would prefer to have our government protect us from private abuses and excesses rather than to face a real depression, which is in the offing if we let private industry screw everyone for unlimited profits. The Constitution provides that Congress shall "promote the general welfare" in this country. That duty exists regardless of how much people believe in limited government. The duty is not to promote laissez faire (which seems to be Romney's view) but to promote the "general" welfare to include not just businesses but the entire country. Please don't listen to the ideologues. Think for yourself.

All tickets have been distributed. Hail to the Chief!
Tammy Lanham August 02, 2012 at 01:13 AM
agreed.
Michael Barrett August 02, 2012 at 03:51 AM
When you talk about people who don't know what the capital of Israel is, you are baiting an international audience that simply does not recognize Jerusalem at this time. This isn't a domestic politics issue but an important issue of international relations. Government isn’t going to control health care in the law passed by Congress (that you call “Obama Care”). The program relies on private insurance for the most part and gives people choices they never had before. I am making a documentary film that is designed to help people with mobility disabilities who need an accessible place to live. I ran into someone in on the street interviews who refused to be interviewed because he assumed that I was part of the “socialist” government that was trying to control his life. Is this you? Government has been incredibly important in promoting private industry. Copyright, trademark and patent law have protected unique pieces of written work or a technical advance created by entrepreneurs get protected by the government, and they can use these things to develop those businesses without fear that their creations will be stolen by competitors. They can sell them with a trademark, that also can't be infringed. Romney believes that government has no role. Does this makes sense?
