Voter Registration Ends Monday

Applications must be submitted or postmarked by Oct. 15.

While Mitt Romney’s upcoming visit to Loudoun may have some voters excited, anyone who is not already registered and does submit or postmark his or her voter registration application by 5 p.m. today (Oct. 15) will not be able to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.

The election may be several weeks away, but the registration deadline helps registrars prepare for election day, when the identifies of voters are verified.

Staff members from the Loudoun County Voter Registration Office will be available at four branches of the Loudoun County Public Library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to register voters or make changes. The locations are:

  • Ashburn Public Library, 43316 Hay Road, Ashburn
  • Cascades Public Library, 21030 Whitfield Place, Potomac Falls
  • Purcellville Public Library, 220 East Main Street, Purcellville
  • Rust Public Library, 380 Old Waterford Road N.W., Leesburg

Registration, or changes for an existing voter can also submit completed applications to the Loudoun County Voter Registration Office, 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite C, Leesburg, VA 20175 during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mailed applications postmarked by Oct. 15 can be submitted to this address.
