Workshops Set for Ashburn Community Outreach

County planners continue to seek input from the community about needs, future development.

As part of the Ashburn Community Outreach Project, the Loudoun Board of Supervisors has scheduled four workshops this fall for residents and business owners and operators.  The goal is to expand on the input received from more than 1,600 resident and business surveys. The workshops, all of which run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., are scheduled as follows:

  • Thursday, Oct. 13, , 42901 Waxpool Road
  • Tuesday, Oct. 18, , 43100 Hay Road
  • Thursday, Nov. 10, Eagle Ridge Middle School, 42901 Waxpool Road
  • Thursday, Nov. 17, Stone Bridge High School, 43100 Hay Road

During the first two workshops, planners will ask participants to develop priorities for Ashburn based on trends identified in the surveys. The November workshops will build on those results, asking participants to finalize priorities and suggest strategies for moving forward.

The county plans to release a preliminary report about the survey results in October prior to the workshops. Once the report becomes public, county staff will post it on the Ashburn Outreach Project webpage. The county has created Facebook (facebook.com/AshburnOutreach) and Twitter (@AshburnOutreach) pages for the project as well. Anyone wishing to receive information about the project as it progress can send a request to ashburn.outreach@loudoun.gov to be added to the Ashburn Network e-mail list.
