WTOP Poll Shows Support for Metro to Loudoun

Have you told board members how you feel? Contact information for all supervisors can be found below.

A new poll conducted this month for WTOP shows that 83 percent of Northern Virginians and 79 percent of residents in the Washington Metropolitan region favor the extension of Metro's Silver Line project into Loudoun County.

Loudoun has planned a handful of outreach sessions to discuss the project with residents as well as a June 4 public input session at 6:30 p.m. at the County Government Building in Leesburg. More information about the county's review of the project can be found on the county's web page about the project.

The Loudoun Board of Supervisors must decide by July 4 whether the county should participate in the project. If the county participates, rail stations will be built at Routes 606 and 772 in the Dulles Greenway right of way.
