York Elected Chairman of Regional Transportation Board

The panel makes planning decisions for the National Capital Region.

Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chairman Scott K. York this month was elected chairman of the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) for 2013.

Tommy Wells of the District of Columbia will serve as first vice chair, while Patrick Wojahn of the City of College Park will serve as second vice chair.

“I look forward to the opportunity to lead the TPB, which plays a significant role as the regional forum for transportation planning,” York said in a press release.

Members of the TPB include representatives of the region’s local governments, including Loudoun County; state transportation agencies; the Maryland and Virginia General Assemblies; the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority; and non-voting members from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and federal agencies.

Who voted? Mr.York's handling of the Delgaudio/Mateer issue makes me want to him to be the head of my organization. Hindered CA Stamos and the investigation into Delgaudio's actions as supervisor. Hopefully CA Stamos will call York out on his bs document control. Instead of heading up another group York should be investigated.
