Brambleton TC Donates $1,000 to Briar Woods

The Ashburn resident's holiday prize from the town center shops will contribution will help the art department.

Brambleton Town Center merchants recently donated $1,000 to Briar Woods High School that the school plans to use in part for the art department.

Sandy Sammons earned the right to select the recipient as part of a prize she won at town center over the holidays shopping spree promotion. She also won a $1,000 shopping spree.

Sammons’ daughters, Jade and Megan, asked that the donation be made to their school for the art department.

"We really appreciated the donation from Brambleton Town Center and for their continued support," Briar Woods Principal Edward Starzenski said.

In past years, Brambleton TC has contributed funds Stone Hill Middle School, Creighton's Corner Elementary School and Legacy Elementary. In addition, this year’s donation to Briar Woods’ is the second from the town center.

Brambleton Town Center, owned by Brambleton Group LLC, includes Harris Teeter, Caribou Coffee and Regal Fox 16 Cinema, among multiple other shops, services and restaurants. The Rappaport Companies, of McLean, VA, provide property management, leasing and marketing services for the center.
